A 13-year-old girl died at home in Yau Ma Tei on the evening of October 13 after her mother found her in a room and called police.
Her mother took her down from where she was hanging. Emergency personnel attended and confirmed the child had died at the scene.
Police said their preliminary inquiry indicated that the girl had died by suicide. Officers found a note at the scene, and the cause of death awaited an autopsy.
