A 15-year-old girl was rescued after entering the sea near the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower on the morning of 5 October. Passers-by brought her ashore after she was found in the water near Salisbury Road at 8.44am.
She remained conscious and was taken to Kwong Wah Hospital for medical care. Police had received a report from the girl and were investigating the incident.
Star Headline reported that police suspected academic problems may have been linked to suicidal thoughts.
