Nominations for the 2026 Election Committee subsector ordinary election opened on 7 October and will close on 20 October. Polling is scheduled for 22 November in subsectors where the number of validly nominated candidates exceeds the number of available seats.

Candidates must be at least 18, registered geographical-constituency electors and either registered voters in the relevant subsector or closely connected with it. Each nomination form must carry the signatures of at least five registered voters in that subsector. An individual voter may not nominate more candidates than the number of seats available, while a corporate voter must nominate through its authorised representative.

The Independent Commission Against Corruption has launched an education and publicity programme themed around complying with the law and upholding integrity. It said it had held more than 100 district talks since July for about 3,000 committee members and voters, explaining the relevant election laws.
