On the 16th day of Abby Choi’s murder trial, her husband testified about their last contact and his search for her on 21 February 2023. He said they discussed dinner plans that afternoon and that her last message to him was sent at 2.06pm.

He told the court that a location-sharing app showed Choi’s phone in Tai Po at 4.18pm, after which it had no signal. He finished work at 6pm and went to a flat on Kadoorie Hill at about 6.30pm to look for her, but could not find her.

Her husband recalled a woman at the flat saying that people might want money. He said he later felt she was trying to delay him from contacting police.
