A tour bus travelling towards Wan Chai collided with two private cars in Aberdeen Tunnel at about 8am on October 21. No one was injured, but one car was badly damaged and lay across two lanes.
The Transport Department said the tunnel’s slow lane was closed and directed drivers to use the remaining lanes. It advised the public to consider rail services.
The queue tail reached Wong Chuk Hang Road near Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road. In a later update, Star Headline reported that the slow lane had reopened and the queue was gradually dissipating.
