CK Asset Holdings Limited plans to demolish and rebuild three of the six buildings at its first-home housing project on Anderson Road in Kwun Tong. The Buildings Department said some reinforcement configurations in all six buildings seriously deviated from approved plans; it accepted remediation plans for the other three.

The Buildings Department accepted plans submitted by the structural engineer for those three buildings and lifted the stop-work order in May 2026 to allow the remediation work to proceed. The department said it understood that the work began in stages that month.

For the three earmarked for demolition, the department had received and approved the demolition plans but had not received an application to begin the work. CK Asset told Ming Pao that its consultants spent nearly two years investigating three buildings and developing remediation measures accepted by the department. After weighing efficiency and economic benefit, the company said, demolition and rebuilding the remaining three was the most time-saving option.

CK Asset also said the department had found no obvious danger in the buildings’ overall structure. In the related case, the Buildings Department brought 205 prosecutions in August 2025 against the contractor, an authorised signatory and relevant technical personnel. A hearing is scheduled for 11 June 2027.
