A container-truck driver was found trapped and unconscious after the vehicle crashed near the Lung Fu Road roundabout on October 2, disrupting traffic towards Tuen Mun.
The crash happened at about 11:25 a.m. on Tuen Mun Chek Lap Kok Tunnel Road as the truck travelled towards Tuen Mun. It mounted the central divider and demolished a traffic sign.
Firefighters broke the passenger-side window to free the driver, who was taken to Tuen Mun Hospital for emergency treatment.
The Transport Department said some lanes on the Tuen Mun-bound carriageway near the roundabout had been closed. Drivers could use the remaining lanes, although traffic was busy. Police were investigating the cause of the crash.
