Two wartime bomb casings are among the objects on display at a new counterterrorism exhibition at the Hong Kong Museum of History. The exhibition opened in the museum lobby on October 24, 2026.
The casings were found at construction sites in Kowloon Bay and Wan Chai during 2013–14. Panels cover Hong Kong terrorism-related court cases, while photographs, text, objects, multimedia and interactive experiences explore the subject.
Secretary for Security Chris Tang said the exhibition was intended to help the public understand counterterrorism developments and Hong Kong’s strategy.
Tang urged people to call 999 if they encountered suspicious people, objects or activity, and to leave suspicious packages untouched. During a violent attack, he advised finding a safe route out or seeking cover if escape was not possible.
