A 43-year-old cyclist was injured after falling near Tak Kei House in Tak Long Estate, Kai Tak, at about 9.14am on 7 October.

A pedestrian reportedly crossed from the cyclist’s left at a crossing, prompting him to steer right to avoid the person before he lost his balance and fell. He suffered head and hand injuries, was initially reported to be unconscious and later regained consciousness.

Rescuers arrived and took him by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment. Blood stains and the bicycle remained at the scene, while police investigated the cause of the crash.
