Police arrested a 37-year-old Filipino domestic worker on suspicion of ill-treating or neglecting a five-year-old boy in her care, after his mother reported suspected mistreatment at a residence in Kowloon City.
HK01 reported that the boy told his mother the worker had slapped him. His mother then reviewed CCTV before contacting police.
HK01 said the footage reportedly showed the worker slapping the boy while feeding him, after he refused to eat. Police reports said the boy was conscious, had facial pain and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for examination.
