Traffic Kowloon East Region ran a two-day operation on Tai Au Mun Road in Clear Water Bay on 10 and 11 October, targeting suspected illegal racing and dangerous driving.
Police used drones to observe and coordinate the operation, adopting a non-pursuit approach and waiting for a suitable moment to arrest the drivers rather than chasing them.
Four men aged 20 to 33 were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. Police held three cars and one motorcycle linked to the suspected driving, along with three other motorcycles suspected of illegal modification, for further examination. Ming Pao reported that two of the men arrested had been posting videos of dangerous driving online for about a year.
Police said drone-assisted enforcement would be extended from the Kwun Tong Bypass area to Tai Au Mun Road.
