An approximately 80-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a refuse truck on or near Hing Ning Road in Kwai Chung at about 10am on August 28, 2026. Emergency personnel attended and pronounced her dead at the scene.
The reported location differs: one account placed the collision outside Kwai Tsing Theatre at 12 Hing Ning Road, while another said it happened near Metroplaza. Police cordoned off part of the road as officers investigated.
