Electoral officials had received 985 nomination forms by October 12 for the 2026 Election Committee Subsector Ordinary Elections. The total comprised 962 candidate forms and 23 submitted by designated bodies.
The latest batch was 217 forms: 206 for candidates and 11 from designated bodies. Nominations opened on October 7 and close on October 20; polling is scheduled for November 22.
The poll will return a 1,500-member Election Committee, which elects the chief executive and 40 members of the Legislative Council.
