The eMPF Platform will launch a one-stop MPF account information enquiry service on 5 October 2026, allowing one application to cover the relevant trustee, scheme name, account number and balance. The service is intended to remove the need to contact different trustees separately for fuller details.

Applications will be open to MPF scheme members, authorised persons, representatives of a deceased member’s estate and people with priority rights to manage that estate.

An authorised person must submit an authorisation form signed by the scheme member and identity documents. The eMPF Platform will send the member an email or text message confirming receipt of the application, then check the member’s identity and compare the signature with its records before releasing the account information, according to the chair of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority.

Estate-related applications require different evidence. An estate representative must provide legal documents such as a grant of probate or letters of administration. A person claiming priority to manage the estate must provide documents proving their relationship with the deceased member.

The previous electronic personal-account enquiry service and related paper forms could show how many personal accounts a member held, along with the names and contact details of the relevant trustees. They did not provide the account numbers or balances themselves, so applicants had to follow up with each trustee for those details.
