A fire at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education’s Tsing Yi campus prompted the evacuation of about 400 students, teachers and workers at around 10am on 4 September 2026. No injuries were reported.
The blaze broke out in a warehouse described in reports as being on the ground floor of the campus building or in its car park. Thick smoke was seen at the scene, and smoke was still coming from the site after the fire had been put out.
