Foo Lum Group and Sportful Garden Restaurant said they had received customer reports about a purported “Klook × Sportful Garden Restaurant” hairy-crab buffet offer, advertised with a limited-time 30% discount.
Foo Lum Group said neither it nor the restaurant had launched the promotion. The related webpages, social-media pages and accounts were not official channels and were not authorised to accept bookings or payments.
HK01 reported that the offer quoted HK$308 per person and that people who followed its link were directed to a WhatsApp account, where they were asked for personal and credit-card details and payment. Multiple people lost amounts ranging from hundreds to thousands of Hong Kong dollars each.
HK01 said some people contacted Foo Lum Group or Sportful Garden Restaurant after paying and learned they had been scammed. Foo Lum Group had also reported the matter to police.
