Four dogs were found dead beside a fish pond near Hop Shing Wai in San Tin, with poisoning suspected.

Police received a report at 11.35am on 18 October and attended the scene. One of the dogs had a microchip.

Nearby workers told HK01 there were about 100 to 200 stray dogs in the area and that they had heard of poisoning cases from time to time.

Police temporarily listed the case as the discovery of animal carcasses; HK01 reported it was being handled as an animal-cruelty case. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Hong Kong) attended.
