Damage was reported in the early hours of Wednesday, 14 October, at Shek Ping House in Long Ping Estate. A resident was suspected of owing money, and debt collectors reportedly came to seek repayment, smashing corridor windows at nine households on the same floor.
Other reported damage included glue blocking keyholes and damaged door handles. Paint and debt-collection messages were also found on an exterior wall.
Police arrested four men in an operation over the following two days, saying their investigation found that a motorcycle fitted with a false plate had been used. The men were detained for investigation on suspicion of criminal damage and using false documents.
