Two administrators of a girl’s estate have filed a civil injury claim against the Hospital Authority in the District Court. The claim was filed in the week of 15–16 October 2026.
The writ alleges that negligence or breaches of duty by the authority, the hospital or their employees or agents caused the girl bodily injury and loss.
She received treatment for a head wound at Yan Chai Hospital on 25 and 26 May 2024, and suffered a cardiac arrest after the wound was stitched. She remained in hospital for about nine months and died in February 2025.
The case is scheduled for a District Court hearing on 12 April 2027.
