A glass entrance door came loose as a 39-year-old woman pushed it while leaving Butterfly Plaza in Tuen Mun at about 6pm on Oct. 23, striking her on the head.
She remained conscious and was taken by ambulance to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment. Security cordoned off the area to keep passers-by away, and police classified the incident as an accidental injury for follow-up.
Link said an initial review of CCTV indicated that the door had been pushed forcefully and that the cause remained under investigation.
It had arranged comprehensive checks of all glass doors and related installations at the centre.
