Hong Kong is forecast to be generally sunny and hot on 30 September, with urban temperatures reaching about 34°C. The New Territories are expected to be another 1–2°C warmer, according to the Hong Kong Observatory.
National Day on 1 October is also forecast to remain hot, with temperatures between 29°C and 33°C, sunny periods and a few showers later. Cloud and showers are expected to become more common from 2 October, when local thunderstorms are possible.
From 2 to 4 October, temperatures are forecast to range between 27°C and 31°C amid generally cloudy conditions and occasional showers. On 5 October, the range is expected to be 25°C to 31°C, with sunny periods and a few showers.
On 6 October, temperatures are expected to range from a minimum of 24°C to a maximum of 29°C, with one or two showers and sunny periods. Drier daytime weather is forecast for 7 and 8 October, when temperatures should stay between 25°C and 30°C.
