The Hong Kong Housing Society said it had recently discovered a fraudulent website posing as an AI receptionist using the Society’s name and referring to Pak Wo Road in Fanling. The site lured users into conversations.
The Society said the website had no connection with it or any of its businesses and services, and that it had referred the incident to police for investigation.
It urged the public not to log in to suspicious websites or provide personal information. The Society’s official website is https://www.hkhs.com/tc/index; people with questions can contact it by phone.
