The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department suspended publication of TaiZoom Elevator Company (H.K.) Limited’s performance rating after inspections found serious faults in its lift replacement work, according to the department’s published note.
In the previous assessment, covering July 2025 to June 2026, TaiZoom received a Safety Star and three service-quality stars on the registered-lift-contractor list. Three stars represented a score of 90 to 99 and a finding of no safety problems.
The department’s record for that period listed no complaints, warning letters or prosecutions. It recorded 514 inspections without finding safety problems.
