A 47-year-old moving-company manager has admitted 18 offences involving his girlfriend’s daughter at the West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts, which was sitting as the District Court. He will remain in custody pending sentencing, after the case was adjourned for the preparation of background and psychological reports.

The defendant, identified as C.K.H.A, admitted seven counts of indecent assault, three counts of possessing child pornography and eight counts of making child pornography. The charges concerned a girl identified in court as X, who was about 11 to 12 years old during the period covered by the case.

The indecent-assault charges alleged that the offences took place seven times at a flat in Yuen Long between August 28, 2023 and March 17, 2024. The possession and production charges related to material involving the girl that the defendant allegedly held or made between May 31, 2023 and April 5, 2024.

The material included 173 photographs and 50 videos. The report said the footage allegedly included sexual acts involving the girl, although that description was presented cautiously in the source report.

Acting judge Tsoi Yee-wai criticised the defendant in court, noting that he was 35 years older than the girl. She said he had repeatedly offended and breached the trust placed in him, and described the conduct as shameful and disgusting, stressing that the case was serious.

The court adjourned the case to August 31, 2026 for sentencing while the reports are prepared. The eventual sentence has not yet been decided, and the defendant remains remanded in custody.
