The Digital Policy Office announced on 14 October 2026 that iAM Smart had introduced an AI assistant for enquiries about government public services. It searches official channels for relevant information and organises it into answers for users.
For questions about applying for online services, the assistant can list eligibility conditions, explain the steps and provide links. Users can go directly to a service and, where applicable, use the app’s form-filling function to complete an application.
The assistant is included in app version 5.0, which is being distributed through official app stores from 14 October until late October. The Digital Policy Office expects to release an enhanced version offering personalised services by the end of 2026.
To start the assistant, users need to install the latest version of iAM Smart and tap the mascot’s avatar on the home page.
