KMB has launched an umbrella loan and return service at 20 designated bus termini and interchanges from August 15, allowing passengers to borrow an umbrella when needed.

The service provides transparent umbrellas bearing the “KMB” logo. Passengers can borrow one at any designated station and return it at any designated station after use, without having to go back to the place where it was borrowed.

The service was launched as Hong Kong’s weather has been changeable, with sudden rain potentially catching people unprepared, according to the report.

The service is now operating at the 20 designated locations. Details such as registration, deposits, service hours, umbrella numbers and arrangements for lost or damaged umbrellas were not announced in the source.
