The Law Society of Hong Kong has converted its former premises at Wing On House in Central into a multi-use facility for hearings, arbitration and mediation for the legal industry. Its arbitration facilities are available for members to rent.

The society’s president said members would pay half the market rate, with equipment such as audiovisual systems and display screens included in the rent during the initial period.

The facility has three arbitration suites, each with sound-absorbing walls and a dedicated breakout room for separate discussions during proceedings.

Other spaces include meeting rooms and a lecture hall. The premises can be used for examinations for more than 100 people, as well as receptions and other events.

The society’s president said demand for arbitration and mediation was growing, while arbitration rooms were in high demand and expensive to rent.
