A 35-year-old motorcyclist died shortly after midnight on 8 October, and police arrested a 36-year-old man the following afternoon on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death, HK01 and Ming Pao reported.

The collision happened at about 9pm on 7 October on Route Twisk, as the rider travelled towards Tsuen Wan. An oncoming 5.5-tonne truck struck his motorcycle with its mirror, causing him to fall, then drove away without stopping.

The rider was taken by ambulance to Pok Oi Hospital, where he died at 12.04am on 8 October. Police arrested the man at the airport that afternoon and said he was being detained for investigation.
