Police arrested a 52-year-old man in Yau Ma Tei on September 30 on suspicion of criminal damage. They suspect he was also linked to nine similar cases across Hong Kong.
The investigation began after a woman reported on September 22 that glue and toothpicks had been used to block the keyhole of her flat at Kin Ming Estate in Tseung Kwan O. Police said the other cases occurred in August and September in Tseung Kwan O, Kwun Tong, Tuen Mun, Sha Tin and Kwai Chung.
The man has been released on bail pending investigation and is due to report to police in early November.
