A man believed to be in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene on 6 October after rescue personnel recovered him from the sea off Tai Po Waterfront Park.
Police received a report at about 7am that someone was floating near Dai King Street. Rescue personnel went to the waterfront and brought the man ashore, where he was examined and declared dead.
Police were investigating the man's identity and the cause of the incident.
