A man has been convicted of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent after attacking a billiards contestant in San Po Kong.
The defendant pushed the contestant from behind towards a bus at a stop. The contestant fell, striking his shoulder against the front of the bus and injuring a wrist.
The acting judge found the defendant intended to send the contestant into the road and expose him to being hit by a vehicle. She said he must have realised the bus was about to move.
The incident took place outside The Latitude in San Po Kong on 14 October 2024. The defendant denied the charge at trial.
Sentencing was adjourned to 24 November for a psychiatric report.
