A man was found dead in the Shing Mun River near Banyan Bridge in Sha Tin at around 8am on 30 September.
A passer-by or driver alerted police after seeing someone floating in the water. Firefighters attended and recovered the man from beneath the bridge. He was confirmed dead at the scene.
Police were investigating the man’s identity and how he came to be in the river.
