Police reported seizing suspected drugs estimated to be worth about HK$11 million after searching two warehouses in Yuen Long on the evening of September 29. The haul included about 48 kilograms of cannabis buds, 1.4 kilograms of suspected heroin and 150 grams of suspected crack cocaine.
Officers from the Narcotics Bureau first stopped a 22-year-old local man outside a squatter unit and found about 360 grams of suspected heroin in his bag. They then searched two warehouses believed to be controlled by him and arrested him on suspicion of trafficking in dangerous drugs.
The man remains detained for investigation and is expected to face three provisional trafficking charges. The case is scheduled to be heard at a magistrates' court in Tuen Mun on the morning of October 2.
