Man Yee Road is scheduled to close from 6am to 11am on Sunday, 1 November, restricting vehicle access to High Island Reservoir East Dam. The closure, planned for the SPARK RUN event, will cover about 8.3 kilometres south of the road’s junction with Tai Mong Tsai Road.
Taxis will not be able to enter Man Yee Road while it is closed. Minibus route 9A, which runs between Pak Tam Chung and the East Dam, is scheduled to suspend service from 9.30am to 11am. The Transport Department advises that visitors heading to the East Dam during the suspension can only walk.
Tai Mong Tsai Road will also close between Pak Tam Chung Accessibility Park and Man Yee Road from 6.55am to 7.10am, and again from 7.25am to 7.45am. The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department expects crowds around Pak Tam Chung and advises visitors to plan ahead, allow ample travel time and avoid staying in the countryside after dark.
