Police received a report at 7.41am on 6 September that scaffolding had come loose beneath the flyover on Ferry Street near Tung Kwan Street in Yau Ma Tei. The incident prevented large vehicles from passing the scene.
The scaffolding measured about 5 metres by 10 metres, and had come loose and been damaged. Construction materials inside it were unstable, while some materials fell on to the road.
Police attended and cordoned off the affected section. Firefighters also went to the scene to help remove dangerous objects.
The Transport Department announced that the section of Ferry Street towards Tsim Sha Tsui near Tung Kwan Street was fully closed, according to Star Headline. Kowloon Motor Bus routes 2E and 12 were diverted.
The closure affected the Tsim Sha Tsui-bound section of Ferry Street near Tung Kwan Street. Drivers were advised to use alternative roads, and no reopening time was provided in the available report.
