Hong Kong police are investigating an alleged case involving a game-card shop at 608 Nathan Road in Mong Kok, after customers said the business closed following payments and its social-media accounts became inaccessible. Police began receiving multiple reports on August 15 from people who had ordered and paid for goods through the shop’s physical or online channels.
The reports involve 44 alleged victims. Individual losses were said to range from about HK$900 to HK$140,000, with the total reported at approximately HK$1.47 million. The circumstances remain under investigation, and the supplied information does not state how many customers received goods.
