Three people were injured when a goods vehicle and two passenger-cargo vans collided on San Tin Highway towards Yuen Long near Mai Po at about 5pm on September 30.
Two drivers were temporarily trapped in the crash. Ming Pao reported that all three injured people were conscious and were taken to hospital by ambulance. Police and ambulance personnel attended the scene.
One passenger-cargo van was severely damaged and overturned, while the other went into roadside vegetation. Online images published by HK01 showed debris scattered across the road.
Some Yuen Long-bound lanes remained closed after the collision. The Transport Department said motorists could use the remaining lanes, but traffic was congested.
Police were investigating the cause of the crash.
