A 32-year-old man was injured and left unconscious after a dispute and fight with about four to five men in Tin Shui Wai in the early hours of August 30, 2026. Police later arrested him on suspicion of fighting in a public place and are searching for the other men.
The incident happened in the area around Tin Yan Road and Tin Heng Estate. Reports placed the scene near Tin Yan Road No. 83, with descriptions referring to a footpath near a playground and an area outside Tin Heng Estate Central Park.
The other men allegedly fled after the fight. A woman called police, and officers and paramedics found the injured man unconscious. He was taken by ambulance to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment.
Police initially believed the man may have been drinking before he became involved in an argument over a minor matter and was outnumbered in the ensuing fight. This remains an initial investigative assessment, not an established court finding.
The case is being handled by the Yuen Long district crime investigation team, unit 9. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances and trace the four to five other suspected participants.
