A truck overturned near Hongkong Post Headquarters at about 6am on August 17, closing a Kai Tak Interchange slip road towards Yau Ma Tei and affecting traffic heading for that section of the Central Kowloon Route.
The vehicle was travelling along Kai Fuk Road towards the Central Kowloon Route when it reportedly lost control. It overturned to the left and came to rest across the road. The cause of the incident has not been confirmed.
Rescue personnel attended the scene and freed the truck driver. The report said no one was injured in the accident.
The Transport Department said the slip road from Kai Fuk Road at Kai Tak Interchange to the Yau Ma Tei section of the Central Kowloon Route, in the Yau Ma Tei direction, was fully closed near Hongkong Post Headquarters. It urged motorists to consider using other roads. No reopening time was provided.
