A car and motorcycle collided around midday on 1 November 2026 at the junction of Kai King Road and Yan King Road in Tseung Kwan O. The 55-year-old motorcyclist was trapped beneath the car.
Firefighters freed him. He was conscious and had injuries to his face, chest and limbs before being taken to hospital by ambulance.
Police said their preliminary account was that the motorcyclist had stopped at a give-way point and the following car failed to stop in time.
The 66-year-old car driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and detained for investigation.
