All lanes on the Tsuen Wan-bound Lung Cheung Road flyover near Choi Hung Estate were closed after a private car overturned at about 9am, the Transport Department said. Some Kwun Tong-bound lanes near the estate were also closed, and traffic was congested.
The car apparently struck a barrier before overturning, leaving all four wheels facing upwards. The female driver was initially trapped and received treatment at the scene. Accounts differed over how she was freed: HK01 said rescuers released her, while Star Headline said she was conscious and later climbed out herself.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation. The Transport Department advised drivers to consider using alternative roads.
