Two male drivers were arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after failing alcohol breath tests at a police checkpoint in Tai Kok Tsui. Officers stopped a motorbike and a private car on Cherry Street near Hoi Fai Road at about midnight in the early hours of 5 September.

The operation was carried out by officers from the Enforcement and Control Unit of the West Kowloon Regional Traffic Formation.

Ming Pao reported that the drivers were a 30-year-old man surnamed Cheung and a 41-year-old man surnamed Cheng. The two men were to be granted bail pending further investigation and required to report to police in early October, the newspaper said.
