Police arrested two men on October 14 on suspicion of dangerous driving after footage showed two cars travelling at high speed on Tuen Mun Road. The men were released on bail and required to report to police in mid-November.
The clip, which circulated online, displayed the time as 6.44am on October 11 and showed a Mercedes pursuing a blue private car towards Kowloon. The blue car’s displayed speed rose from 35 km/h to 216 km/h in 30 seconds.
Police said both cars had travelled far above the road speed limit and changed lanes recklessly. The two cars were detained for further examination.
