The 15 October deadline for Wang Fuk Court owners to sign sale agreements has passed, with agreements signed for 1,850 units in blocks A to H, the Housing Bureau said. That represents 93.2% of the units in the eight blocks.

The Bureau said some owners could not sign in time because they needed longer to clarify or handle title matters, including probate, bankruptcy and disputes. It also cited cases involving people who lack mental capacity and owners who were outside Hong Kong.

The government may consider appropriate arrangements in individual cases, giving priority to empathy while balancing reason and the law, the Bureau said. The government will continue work on the assignment procedures needed to complete the transfer of titles.
