A water main burst at Hung Shek House in Ping Shek Estate shortly after midnight on October 17, sending water spraying from the ground floor about ten storeys into the air.
A resident posting on Threads said the spray ran from midnight until 1.20am. Footage showed two men approaching the valve: one held an object up to shield the other as he closed it. The flow weakened, and both men were soaked.
Water supply to floors 16 and below was reported temporarily interrupted, with no restoration time given. Police had not received a report of anyone injured at the time of Star Headline’s report.
