A 37-year-old woman was injured when a ceiling light fitting fell inside a lift at a commercial building in Tsim Sha Tsui at about 8pm on 28 August 2026, striking her on the head. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.

The woman, surnamed Tse, felt dizzy after the incident. Ming Pao also reported that she had neck pain. Emergency personnel fitted her with a cervical collar before taking her by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

Ming Pao reported that she left the lift and initially continued working as usual. She later felt dizzy and went to the ground floor to seek help from a security guard, who called police. Officers and emergency personnel then attended the scene.

The case has been classified as an accidental injury case. No definitive building name or address has been established in the reports, and the circumstances that led to the light fitting falling are still being investigated.
