A taxi reportedly lost control near Chung Ling Street Playground in San Po Kong at about 8pm on August 15, 2026, leaving a woman passenger in her 30s with a bleeding head injury. She was conscious after the crash.

The taxi was travelling along Chung Ling Street towards Tseuk Luk Street when it hit a kerb and a fire hydrant, according to reports. The injured passenger was taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

Online images appeared to show the taxi’s right front wheel on the kerb. They also appeared to show serious damage to the front of the vehicle and a detached bumper.

Police are investigating. No details were provided on what caused the taxi to lose control, the driver’s condition or whether anyone had been arrested or charged.
