A female staff member suffered burns to her face and arm after an electric shock during a fire backstage at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui on 19 October. The incident was reported around 11am, and an electrical fault was suspected as the cause of the fire. She was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

An initial investigation suggested she was accidentally injured while dismantling stage installations. Ambulance staff applied dressings to her face and head.

The incident was classified as an industrial accident, and the Labour Department is investigating.
