Two estate agents gave evidence on 27 October about Abby Choi’s attempts to sell a flat in Kadoorie Hill, during the 24th day of the High Court trial over her killing.
An agreed fact read in court said the registered owner had authorised Choi to handle the flat on 7 November 2022. The first agent testified that Choi contacted him that day to seek a listing at HK$75 million. She reduced the asking price to HK$67 million on 4 December and offered two days later to raise his commission from 1% to 1.5%.
The agent said Choi told him she had an authorisation, but did not send an electronic copy when he requested one. He testified that they had no further contact after 7 December.
A second agent testified that he viewed the flat with Choi and her mother on 16 February 2023. He said Choi told him she would decide whether to sell and the registered owner would sign if they agreed a price. The flat was not sold.
