A computer ballot has set the order in which Wang Fuk Court owners will choose new subsidised homes under the government’s Special Sales Exercise. The first 10 numbers drawn for the earlier application batch were 25, 28, 75, 12, 56, 99, 59, 64, 36 and 47.
The first 10 numbers for the later batch were 80, 14, 32, 63, 01, 52, 05, 09, 91 and 45. The numbers refer to the last two digits of applicants’ application numbers and determine their place in the flat-selection queue.
The Housing Bureau divided applicants according to when it received their signed acceptance letters. The first batch covered letters received by June 30, while the second covered letters received by August 31. Separate computer draws ordered the final two digits for each batch, followed by a random computer ordering of applicants whose numbers shared the same last two digits.
The ballot was held on the morning of September 15. The full results and flat-selection order were scheduled to be uploaded to the Special Sales Exercise website at about 3pm that day, with flat selection expected to begin by the end of the month.
The government has reserved more than 4,400 units across 10 Housing Authority and Housing Society developments for owners who sold their Wang Fuk Court ownership interests to the government. Participants can use the exercise to buy a new subsidised unit or exchange their flat on a flat-for-flat basis.
Reported prices for the reserved units range from HK$1.51 million to HK$5.36 million, and more than 60% have a saleable area of at least 400 square feet.
